Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Trunex ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

The Service is operated by SC Trunex SRL, Strada Hagi Ghita 35, Sector 1, Bucharest, Romania (telephone +40 770 481 753), and is accessible at trunex.app and through the Trunex mobile apps. For questions, contact us at hello@trunex.app.

References to "Trunex", "we", "us" and "our" in these Terms mean SC Trunex SRL.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old to use Trunex.
• You must be invited by an existing member or approved by the Trunex team.
• You must provide accurate information during registration. Fake identities are grounds for immediate removal.
• You may hold only one account. Creating duplicate accounts is prohibited.

You may install the app and browse as a guest, without an account. A guest can look at the map, public stories and the business directory. A guest cannot send messages, cannot trigger an SOS, does not appear on the map and has no profile. Everything in these Terms that applies to "use of the Service" applies to guests too.

3. Acceptable use

You agree to use Trunex only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of others or restrict their use of the Service. Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to:

• Harassment, threats, hate speech, or any form of abuse toward other members
• Sharing illegal content, spam, or unsolicited commercial messages
• Impersonating another person or misrepresenting your identity
• Attempting to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or the platform's infrastructure
• Using the platform to coordinate or facilitate any illegal activity
• Scraping, crawling, or automated data collection without written permission

4. Content you post

You are solely responsible for the content you share on Trunex, including messages, profile information, and any media. By posting content, you confirm that you have the right to share it and that it does not violate these Terms or any applicable law.

Trunex does not claim ownership of content you post. You grant Trunex a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and display your content solely for the purpose of operating the Service.

4a. Objectionable content and abusive members — zero tolerance

Trunex carries user-generated content and direct contact between members, so the following is a binding part of these Terms:

• There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. What counts as either is set out in our Community Guidelines, which form part of these Terms.
• You can report any message, story, comment, listing or member from the app. Reports are confidential; the person reported is not told who reported them.
• You can block any member. A blocked member can no longer message you, see you on the map or appear anywhere in your app, and the block survives them creating a new invitation.
• We act on every report within 24 hours of receiving it, and we remove the content and eject the member responsible where the report is upheld.
• Asking another member for money, a transfer or any direct financial benefit results in an automatic 24-hour suspension and a referral to our team.

4b. SOS is not an emergency service

The SOS feature alerts nearby Trunex members. It is not a substitute for the emergency services and it is not monitored around the clock. In a genuine emergency call 112 (or your local emergency number) first. We do not guarantee that any member will see an SOS, respond to it, or be able to help. Triggering an SOS shares your precise location and phone number with the members alerted — see the Privacy Policy. Misuse of SOS is grounds for immediate removal.

4c. Rides and use while moving

The Rides feature records a GPS track while you travel. You are responsible for obeying the law and for your own safety: do not operate the app while driving or riding. Distances, speeds and elevation are estimates derived from your device's GPS and must not be relied on for anything safety-critical.

5. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.

6. Account suspension and termination

Trunex reserves the right to suspend or permanently ban any account that violates these Terms, without prior notice. Decisions are made at the sole discretion of the Trunex team.

You may delete your account yourself at any time, without contacting us: in the app under You → Settings → Delete my account, or from trunex.app/delete-account without installing anything. Deletion is immediate and irreversible; your data is removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Deleting your account does not refund any pass or subscription.

6a. Purchases, passes and subscriptions

• Inside the mobile apps, every purchase — Travel Passes, the Instant Pass, Trunex Pro and donations — is processed by Apple's App Store or Google Play. Payment is taken by them, under their terms, and the price you see in the app is the price they charge in your currency.
• Trunex Pro is an auto-renewing subscription, billed monthly. It renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account — we cannot cancel it for you.
• Travel Passes and the Instant Pass are one-off purchases that grant access for a fixed period stated at the moment of purchase. They do not renew.
• Donations grant no benefit beyond optional public recognition. They are not tax-deductible and are not refundable.
• Refunds for in-app purchases are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies. Requests for purchases made on the website are handled by us at hello@trunex.app.
• If your account is removed for breaching these Terms, any unused pass or subscription period is forfeited.
• Consumers in the European Union have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital content, which is lost once delivery of the content has begun with your express consent.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Trunex does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or that the Service will meet your requirements.

Trunex is not responsible for the actions or content of other members. Use of the platform, including any in-person meetings arranged through it, is at your own risk.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Trunex and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify members of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Romania.

11. Apple and Google

These Terms are between you and SC Trunex SRL only, not with Apple Inc. or Google LLC. Apple and Google are not responsible for the Service or its content, have no obligation to provide support for it, and are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms with the right to enforce them against you. Your use of the app must also comply with the applicable App Store or Google Play terms of service.
